Welcome to BHMS Performing Arts Boosters (PAB)

Performing Arts Boosters is a collection of parents of music students at Bloomfield Hills Middle School.  This group raises money through donations and weekly bake sales to support the efforts of Band & Jazz Band, Orchestra & Chamber Orchestra , Choir & Honors Choir, and Musical Theater.  PAB funds extra enrichment activities and purchases items not included in the curriculum.  These “extras” help our students continue to explore music and maximize interest and excitement about band, orchestra, vocal music and performance.

If you are interested in helping us out, please fill out our Volunteer Sheet and send it in!

♫ Purchase of storage racks for cellos and basses
♫ Purchase of music folders for use at concerts and festivals
♫ Purchase of storage shelves and containers for musical theater costumes
♫ Workshops with members of the Detroit Chamber Winds & Brass, DSO, an a local Cantor
♫ Domination Tour to elementary schools by 6th grade musicians
♫ State Solo and Ensemble entrance fees
♫ Solo and Ensemble lock-in clinicians and snacks
♫ Year-end celebration for Jazz Band, Honors Choir, and Chamber Orchestra students
♫ Recognition treat for 8th grade musicians
♫ Concert accompanists
♫ Weekly bake sales
♫ Concert programs & helpers

Performing Arts Boosters meets several times in the school year (during the day with Mr. DeRubeis, Ms. Robbins, Mrs. Baldwin and Ms. Bogrette.) We discuss, plan and assist with upcoming events. We need a lot of parent support (both after school and during school), so even if you can’t join us for the daytime meetings, there are plenty of other opportunities to be involved with our students.
